Magnilia and Lilac

My lilac bushes are covered with buds that I think will be in full bloom early May. My dusty rose Magnolia blooms are opening but there are no leaves on it yet. I love Spring!!!

Quail and Blossoms

I always know spring has come when the Quail start spending time in my yard. So do the Morning Doves. Some of the fruit trees are blooming too. The pink flowers are peaches and the white flowers are pears. The apples won't bloom for a week or two.

the TAX Snow

I have lived in North West Nevada for 8 years now and this year was no exception.....it snowed today. It has snowed every April ...either a few days before or after tax day... yes, every year (8 now) since I have lived here.

Spring is showing

Signs of spring are more noticable every day now. The forsythia is in bloom as well as most of the daffodils. The bleeding hearts and lilies are popping up their heads. The fruit trees will soon be covered with blossoms. But of course it is still early spring and the news tells us we may wake up to a little snow on the ground in the morning.

April Fools Day

Things are starting to happen in my yard. The forsythia is blooming and leaves are starting to come out on most of the trees. The grass in the back yard could actually stand it's first mowing and is mostly green now. This yard looks mostly like last month in the picture until you look closely as plants are starting to sprout. Next months picture should be a big change. I love spring when every thing starts growing.
