Summer is Here

More of my plants are blooming now that summer is officially here. My poker plant has poker flowers and the roses are blooming. My St John's Wort is covered with blooms but one yellow flower was the first to break out. Can you see all the apples hanging over the water falls? It is gonna be a bumper crop.

Thunder Storm and Rainbow

We have been having thunder storms and rain for the last week or so but today there was also a big beautiful rainbow. The picture doesn't do it justice. It was a full rainbow and the colors were very bright.

June 1st

I can't believe it is June already. It isn't offically Summer until later this month but I always think of all of June as Summer. All the trees have leaves and the roses are starting to bloom. The iris's and phoneys are blooming where as the lilacs are gone. There was a thunder storm this afternoon which is very common in this part of Nevada in June.

Spring Abounds

Look! Baby peaches! The tree is covered with little fuzzy peaches. My Bleeding hearts are bleeding. The azalea is flowering and so are the snowball bushes. The Lilacs are so beautiful this spring. Last year we got a freeze that killed the lilac blossoms. I love Spring!

May Day

May is here and finally you can really see changes in the yard. Most of the trees have leaves now. The grass is green and has been mowed twice already. This is the time of year I usualy find a bird nest with eggs in it but none so far. I am still looking.

Magnilia and Lilac

My lilac bushes are covered with buds that I think will be in full bloom early May. My dusty rose Magnolia blooms are opening but there are no leaves on it yet. I love Spring!!!
